Meditech Client-Hosted Deployment: Technical Requirements

Requirements for integrating your Meditech EHR data with Medisolv solutions.

Meditech clients have the option of a Client-Hosted deployment of the ENCOR solution, versus the standard Medisolv Cloud-Hosted solution. This deployment option applies to the following Medisolv solutions where Meditech is the only EHR platform in scope:

  • ENCOR for Abstracted Measures
  • ENCOR for Electronic Hospital Measures
  • ENCOR for Electronic Clinician Measures
  • RAPID
  • OPAL

Note: This configuration is only applicable where Meditech is the only EHR in scope. If data from multiple EHRs are being aggregated, then a Cloud deployment is required. For Cloud-Hosted deployment, please refer to the Medisolv Standard Technical Configuration Guide on the Knowledge Center.

These technical requirements are intended to be a minimum baseline, based on Medisolv’s previous experience. Hardware configuration and recommendations should be reviewed with Medisolv’s engineering team and client’s technical team prior to implementation to confirm the exact configuration based on the scope of implementation.

General System Requirements

Medisolv will require your team to provide the following:

  • Remote desktop access to server/workstation.
    • Medisolv will install and use BeyondTrust (BOMGAR) secure VPN solution for remote access and management of the server. BeyondTrust is Medisolv’s standard solution for providing secure remote support.
  • Domain account for Medisolv with Local Administrator rights to the server
  • Local Administrator rights to application server
  • Create AD security Group for Medisolv application Users
  • Full server address and database names of your EHR data warehouse
  • EHR data warehouse read-only user account exempt from password expiration policies
  • Client may opt to virtualize the Medisolv Environment
